VAIN - Part Three
As soon as I found out this book was here I downloaded it. I couldn't wait. I'm glad it turned out the way it did. I don't want to give away any spoilers so I have to be careful.I am a little let down by this last book. I can't put my finger on it. Something was missing. So here is what bugged me,
One of the biggest characters mentioned in this book " a lot" never made an appearance. You were just told he did. The story of Camille and Ari never quite made sense to me. And as much as I hate to say this..at a couple points during the story I wanted to slap our hero a few times in the head and tell him to "Get Over It"! I would have washed my hands of the whole lot of them.
Anyway I did like the series and I'm glad we will be getting a novella. I know it sounds like a lot of complaining but hey we are suppose to discuss these books right????
What cracked me up was I have never seen a hero in a book more obsessed with his own "dick" like the one in this book. I laughed so hard sometimes when reading.
Until You (Fall Away, #1.5)
When I read Bully, the first book in the series I hated Jared with a passion. I couldn't figure out his reasoning for his hatred and terrible treatment of Tatum his boyhood friend. He had done some really unforgivable things to her.In this book you finally see into Jared's soul and get a look at the horror his life became when he went away that year to visit his dad.
Coming home after what he went through and finding out he had a brother to see his mom "who has a bad drinking problem" and Tatum and her dad acting like a happy family when he needed her more then ever just set him onto a path to pushing everything and everyone away.
Tatum goes away for a year to school and comes home determined to not let Jared hurt her anymore.
I didn't want to put any spoilers in but Jared's visit to his dad was horrible. With the help of Tatum's dad while she's away Jared finally starts to get a grip on his feelings. It's a great read.

The Alpha's Search
I started off liking the concept of this book but it all went down hill very fast.Besides flipping back and forth through time everything happened to fast. We are talking this first book being 136 pages.
" SPOILERS"
In those few pages the author deals with a serious situation with vampires attacking where heroine works and escaping. The witnessing and murder and escape of the heroine Louise's father. The attack and murder of of her roommate by a vampire in her apartment. Plus before her unfortunate death they have been able to fit in a night of clubbing .She has a memory loss and with all this she is meeting her long lost mate who is trying to keep her alive and make her believe it. Then they run from motel to motel to escape vampires and bad werewolf who set up father's death. Meanwhile we learn all other packs are enemies. You can be killed on site. So they are fighting to get accepted by another pack so weeks are crammed into this small book where the hero and heroine are not only accepted but even though he was alpha of his old pack heis taken in. He makes and enemy of the new alpha's second in command and is made the new one and the head alpha trusts him. Oh yeah and sex. I know I have forgotten things because my head is spinning. A chapter telling us how they met 40 years before. I edited several times because I keep forgetting things. She ran from her mate went to the cops and spent time on interrogation . Bad wolves ran cops off road taking her somewhere and killed them and again saved by mate.
I have a headache.
Bronagh (Slater Brothers, #1.5)
I loved going back and visiting the Slater's again especially Dominic and Bronagh.It's Bronagh's birthday and sexy Dominic has some surprises in store for her. His brothers are still as sexy as ever and can't wait to read their books. Enjoyable read!!!!

Storm
I apologize. I just realized I did my review on Amazon and not here after referring to this book in a group.I found this book to make no sense. I'll will try to make this short and sweet
1. You have a heroine in very grave danger from another MC yet even though she has been brought up in the life and been tortured and abused by them before she doesn't seem to take it seriously.
2. After she is brought home the club "to protect her from this grave danger" they let her trot all over the place like there isn't a problem. Most of the time with no guard. During this whole time she runs her mouth with the "I can take care of myself" attitude.
3. This horrible terrible scary MC leader ,if I remember correctly makes one appearance then is killed. It was so fast the whole point seemed not worth the plot.
4. The dead leaders sister who all of a sudden pops up out of nowhere runs into a store ..our heroine is shopping..screams in her face she is a dead woman. If we see her again I can't remember it.
At this point the guy who loves her from her past seems about the only part of this book that has a point and even that has me shaking my head.
I have read the next books and liked them so I say don't judge the series by this book.

Sorry not for me. Everyone knows vampires exist. Ellie and her friends decide to go out to a vampire club to see what it's like. She works for a medical place. I can't remember exactly what with all the fast track of this book. " Don't read farther if you don't want spoilers!"SPOILERS"
Ellie meets her boss. He is a vampire and he decides he is her mate then accidentally almost kills her. His best friend Jasper saves her by turning her and she turns out to be his mate. While this is going Ellie who doesn't "Usually" sleep around is "screwing like a bunny" All in a matter of days this is accepted and no one is jealous and sleeping around is accepted with a smile by vampires, So her new mate and her half mate "yes you heard me" her half mate Ian,,her boss "her boys" as she calls them are doing her and and another human girl at the club. Natalie. Oh yeah and humans that go to this club have their blood tested and when they go in the club are served as drinks to the vampires. " With their permission of course' groan
Jasper leaves Ellie behind to have sex with Ian to show no hard feelings about switching mates and goes ahead to the club and has wild sex with Natalie while waiting for Ian and Ellie to have sex. When Ian and Ellie show up they change partners and are now going to have sex with each other. Everything in this story is instant acceptance and to much sharing.

How do I start? I wasn't sure when I started reading if our girl Alexa was jumping from the frying pan into the fire. She discovers the man she loves is a liar and a cheat and now meets a man full of mystery and secrets. I refuse to give you spoilers but Beck the ex isn't quite done playing with Alexa's heart and Noah the sexy hot new man in her life turns out to be full of surprises.A cliffhanger that left my mouth hanging open! I'm heading off to read book #2 right now!
VAIN - Part Two
No, No, No Noah you did not just do that!!!! I thought the last cliffhanger had me with my mouth open. This one unhinged my jaw. My right mind is saying "Say it ain't so". Again I don't want to drop any spoilers here but you have to read this series. Alexa friends are planning her birthday party. Beck shows up. Noah is planning to take her to New York for the weekend to show her the sites.. Their relationship is doing great. Twists and turns everywhere. It's just a pity poor Alexa seems to be at the end of all the heartache. Noah is winning in my book as being the biggest azzhole in book history!
The Lover's Secret
I was really glad to get back to Brook and Jett's story but that cliffhanger really left me sad. I am hoping there are all kinds of reasons for that happening that could make sense. The book starts out with Brook and Jett taking some time out together for a little rest time in a fancy hotel penthouse for a few days of togetherness because they have been working to hard. Brook is about 3 months pregnant now. He wants her promise to never leave him but hasn't asked her to marry him yet and she doesn't understand why. Their little vacation at the fancy hotel starts to go down hill quick when certain secrets come to light. Once again Brooke is left wondering if she really knows Jett when all of a sudden he starts acting differently
Point of Return (The Nordic Lords)
I'm hooked. I liked this book a lot. My one complaint was about Liv. I understand everything she went through was awful but blaming it on Daemon. Her one complaint about him was not holding her hand in the hospital. I was kind of on his side why he couldn't be there. It took her 80% of the book to get her stuff together over what I thought was a non issue.I enjoyed the story and the twist surprised me. Liv did stop her whining in the end and proved strong and I liked her. Daemon was a great and patient alpha hero. I loved the side characters and hope they have books. Jaden, Finn etc,.
I'm looking forward to following this MC series. Even though you could read this as a stand alone because it did leave you with an HEA, the club was heading out on some more problems started in this book. So it does pick up where it left off.

Point of Redemption
This was Ryder and Faith's story. This story is a lot darker then the first. It ties in very well with it though. Ryder is Daemon's older brother who leaves town after he accidentally shoots his own father. Daemon calls him to come home to help in a time of crisis 5 yrs later. After deserting his fiance' and family all those yrs ago he swore he would never go back. His brother needed him so he had to go back.Ryder comes home to find his ex fiance's a prostitute for a rival MC with a bad reputation. What happened to his innocent Faith? What happened 5 yrs ago when he walked in his house and found Liv's moms head blown off and Liv shot and bleeding as he accidentally kills his father. The past never died and still tied to the future. What kind of destruction did heleave everyone else behind to deal with????
Taming My Prince Charming
I'm really disappointed in this heroine. I usually love J. S. Cooper's books but Lola has 100% descended into Harlequin hell. I had hope for this moral young college student who seems smart. I knew she was going to be taken with a smooth handsome alpha like Xavier but to allow him to so easily drag her into what he did left me with my mouth hanging open. I was wondering if with all his money he cloned her and locked the nice girl in his dungeon.He does nothing but insult her, prostitute names, golddigger, etc. Then she still drops her panties on a dime. At this point the story means nothing to me because with his existing attitude this quick change of his is not going to stick with the cliffhanger hanging we are left with. Xavier has his issues but he is the worst kind of person. Uses people for his own ends. He sets Lola up over and over again. He puts her in positions that harm her personally and her reputation just for his own pleasure and amusement. So far in two books I can't find any redeeming qualities about Xavier. I am fast losing any sympathy for Lola. I can see going along with Xavier the first time but going back the second time when she knew what was going on???? You know the saying? You make your own bed.
Finding My Prince Charming
I gave this book a 3 because right off it gave me what I dislike most in a book:A heroine who drops her panties for a mean nasty azz the minute he breathes on her.
As far a a fantasy story goes I liked it and am going to start reading book #2 as soon as I'm done with this review in hopes that our Lola will get a spine and do something. I know she seems spunky and stands up to Xavier but that's just with words. I want to see her use actions to call him on his crap.
Lola and her friend Anna go to college in London. Americans and first time travelers they are both excited to spread their wings and meet new people and some nice English guys. One night in a museum Lola sees this really handsome guy who she flirts with and she can't believe someone like him is exactly flirting back with her. Anna her friend is kind of manic when it comes to meeting and falling for guys fast and hard. The two combinations lead to some uncomfortable misunderstandings. Will any of this lead Lola to finding her Price Charming or the biggest mistake of her life?
The Trap
This is suppose to be Paige and Mitch's story but as far as I,m concerned it's Paiges story. From here on Mitch will be "he who shall remain nameless". My emotions got tied up in this story. I understand where he may have felt pressure but he carried it to far in my opinion. For the book it made a great story but for Paige it made an unbearable broken heart.A young woman making a dumb mistake. Fresh out of high school. She gets all the blame and accused of doing it on purpose. Even though they have been in love along time he even questions if he is the father.
Her 9 month heartache an acceptance of the change in her life to me is a story of courage. I loved Paige. She never faltered. Her family and friends support was unwavering. In my book " he who shall remain nameless" can fall in a hole somewhere.

Love Redesigned
I don't know why but I really did like this story even though the author never did redeem the hero in my opinion. I did like Holly and little Harry. After two years of marriage Daniel.."hero" hmm...finding out Holly is pregnant doesn't want her or the baby. So she leaves and makes a life for them. He shows up after not seeing or hearing from him. Of course in a "Harlequin" fashion she drops her panties pretty quickly not realizing Mr. Wonderful hasn't been completely honest with her. Give it a read, make your own opinion but I would like to slap the guy silly. Tell Holly she deserves better and adopt Harry.

I did like this book. We have a handsome alpha male used to getting what he wants. He is about to learn that he just might find out what he wants has been under his nose the whole time when he might lose it.My name is Rhett and I'm a good ol' boy and my best friend is Clementine O'Hara. She's always been there for me since we were 7yrs old. We were in class and she was eating candy. I wanted some so I paste her a note.
You want to be my best friend? Yes or No ? She wrote back maybe.
That's when it all started.
I had to copy the author a little to give you a goo idea of the type of book we are talking about. This is the story of Clementine tired of waiting for Rhett to see her as something other then his friend and moving on. Rhett shock at realizing he doesn't want her to move on anywhere. Good read
